Kali is the study of Filipino martial arts. A weapon based art, it is also known as Eskrima or Arnis. Kali not only teaches the use of empty-handed fighting and the importance of pressure points, but also utilizes weapons that are bladed (i.e. knifes) and blunt (staffs). Kali is a great way of improving eye-hand-coordination, as well as beneficial when it comes to staging and stunts. Affiliated with the Atlanta Marshal Arts Center, the Mercer Kali Club is open to anyone interested in learning about an unique weapons based art.
