About Leadership MU
Leadership MU is a conference organized by the Office of Campus Life and the Division of Student Affairs to provide students with information and practical applications of leadership in the community, whether university, city, national, or international. The annual conference focuses on issues most commonly affecting leaders.
2012 Conference
The 2012 Conference is titled The Pursuit of Equality. Each session will focus on an issue of equality in American society and how leadership can make a difference in realizing true equality, whether within issues of race, education, labor, or others.
This year's conference is split into three parts. Students may register for any or all. Community members may register for the Keynote.
Monday, March 19 | 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Leadership Fair: Come learn how to be involved in leadership on campus or to find additional leadership opportunities!
Tuesday, March 20 | 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Lunch and Panel Discussion with Macon Community Leaders, including city council members, non-profit directors, county commissioners, and the Mayor of Macon. Students may come and go as required by their class schedule.
Wednesday, March 21 | 7:00 p.m.
Keynote Address by former Georgia Commissioner of Labor and 2010 Democratic Nominee for United States Senate Michael Thurmond.
